As the Christmas season brings people together in warmth and reflection, we invite you to a special gathering dedicated to the legendary Ziad Rahbani. This time of year offers a meaningful moment to honour his legacy, celebrate his music, and share a collective farewell to one of the Arab world’s most influential artistic voices. Rahbani — the iconic Lebanese composer, playwright, and political commentator — left an indelible mark on generations through his genius, his sharp social insight, and his unwavering commitment to justice.

This tribute concert brings together three remarkable artists whose musical identities reflect the richness and depth of Rahbani’s world:

Ghays Mansour

A Syrian singer-songwriter and vocal explorer whose music bridges Arabic tradition with contemporary expression. Ghays moves seamlessly between classical Arabic melodies, soul, jazz, and flamenco, creating an intimate and borderless sound that resonates deeply with Rahbani’s spirit of innovation.

Peter Somes

A Budapest-born percussionist and Codarts University graduate, Peter has performed worldwide with leading artists. His rhythmic language connects diverse musical cultures, offering a dynamic percussive foundation that enriches the ensemble’s performance.

Nazir Salameh “El Sirio”

A Syrian flamenco guitarist and composer educated at the Higher Institute of Music in Damascus. Nazir’s music reflects his cultural heritage and artistic journey, offering a profound and captivating interpretation of flamenco’s evolving sound.

In the heart of Berlin, during the festive season, this evening at

The Village – tak Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg Berlin offers a beautiful opportunity to gather, remember, and celebrate the music and spirit of Ziad Rahbani.
