LAST PERFORMANCE!

Highly acclaimed actor Robert McNamara will perform “Report to an Acadamy” based on the short story by Franz Kafka.

Kafka’s works are filled with themes of alienation, and his characters often venture on a terrifying quest. Acclaimed German theatre director Gabriele Jakobi has adapted Franz Kafka´s short story “Report to an Academy” of 1917, into a powerful, provocative one-man drama featuring actor / director Robert McNamara. The play centers on an intelligent ape named “Red Peter” who was captured in West Africa and sent to Europe on a ship. To survive, Peter learns to mimic and imitate human behavior from his cage. Ultimately, Peter presents his tale of transformation and the horrid details of his former ape life to a scientific Academy.

Mc Namara´s performance brings a wild parable to life and compels patrons to ponder the issues of free will, animal rights and vegetarianism.
