IKE: On Higher Dreams

Stylistically cinematic in method, process, and scope — the sonic output of On HIgher Dreams is erosive to the boundaries of genres. In the dusty remains, a neoteric sound is formed. Inspired by IKE’s absorption of the Egyptian terrain, it’s a concert that seeps ancestry, melds influence and provokes contemplation.

The music of Isaac de Martin, aka IKE, blends jazz and electronic influences into warm, smooth, and often cinematic soundscapes. A certain eclecticism is not surprising considering that the composer, producer and guitarist was born in Italy into a musical family with British roots, studied classical guitar, graduated in jazz and went on to develop his personal style through creative experimentation, live touring and collaborative work with artists from a variety of disciplines and countries. IKE released Construction Site (Irma Records 2019); The Great Escape (Four Flies Records 2022) and will release On Higher Dreams in spring 2025.
