Under the soft light of the Valley of the Moon, Egyptian violinist and composer Ayman Asfour takes center stage, weaving a soundscape that bridges memory, distance, and belonging.

Based between New York and Alexandria, Ayman brings his original compositions to Berlin in a rare live performance — blending oriental modes, Egyptian rhythms, and improvisational textures that speak the language of both the past and the present.

The evening will also showcase outstanding Arabic musicians who have made Berlin their home, many of whom have not returned to their homelands in years:

🎵 Milad Khawam – Trumpet
🎵 Bakr Khleifi – Oud
🎵 Julnar Georges – Violin
🎵 Salam Elhassan – Percussion
🎵 Romeo Natur – Percussion

Together, they will explore the living dialogue between Arabic musical heritage and Berlin’s contemporary scene, offering the audience a vibrant journey through rhythm, emotion, and rediscovery.

Beyond performance,The Valley of the Moon is a gesture of reconnection, a space for artists in exile to rediscover their roots and regenerate their musical voices, at a time when support for such collaborations has become increasingly limited.

tak Theater Aufbau Kreuzberg known for its dedication to intercultural dialogue and artistic exchange, provides the perfect stage for this luminous gathering of sound and spirit.
